Wunderschöne Kirche mit schöner KuppelInnen besonders schön mit den vielen MarmorsäulenFazit: muss man sich anschauen

Gehört zu meinen Lieblingskirchen in Bayern. Mit gefallen vor allem die rötlich marmorierten Säulen und die Kuppelbemalung. Aber auch der Gesamteindruck ist überwältigend.

Elisabethkirche (St. Elizabeth's Church) is located at Jakobplatz in the city centre of Nuremburg. This is a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Elizabeth of Hungary.The church history dates back to the early Middle Ages. However, the present building was constructed in 1785 - 1802 by Franz Ignaz Michael Neumann and later Peter Anton von Vershcaffelt. Heavily damaged during WWII bombings, Elisabethkirche was restored during the late 1940s.What you see today is a Neo-classical style building with a large dome and decent exterior. Within, you will find an open and circular nave with marble columns. Most interesting are the niches with statues of the apostles in the inner dome.Give Elisabethkirche if you are in the area and enjoy visiting historic churches during your travels. You can conveniently combine with a stop at St. Jakob just across the square.

Magnificent cathedral building, well located in the city centre. We enjoyed Sunday evening Mass here last month when visiting beautiful Nuremberg.

Schöne Kirche mit einer grossen Kuppel. Der Innenraum ist ganz nach der Kuppel ausgerichtet mit runder Konzeption. Der kleine Altar steht in der Mitte und die Bänke sind um den Altar platziert. Schöner ruhige Ausstrahlung, einladend zum Verweilen. Auf jeden Fall zu Besuchen.

Repräsentativ und geprägt durch klare, schlichte Geometrie ist die katholische Elisabethkirche eines der wenigen klassizistischen Bauwerke Nürnbergs. 40 marmorne, rote Säulen gliedern Chor, Rundbau und Eingangsbereich im Inneren. Die mächtige, 50 Meter hohe Kuppel über dem Rundbau wird von zwölf monumentalen Apostelstatuen, angeordnet in Dreiergruppen, beherrscht.

Die Elisabethkirche ist eine römisch-katholische Stadtpfarrkirche in Nürnberg. Sie befindet sich am Jakobsplatz, gemeinsam mit der Jakobskirche.

Die Kirche ist klassizistischem Stil mit einer Kuppel gebaut. In der Kuppel sind zwölf Apostelstatuen aufgestellt.

Hat mir sehr gut gefallen! Kleines Highlight im Herzen Nürnbergs. Speziell die Kuppel samt der roten Marmorsäulen und Aposteln besticht durch tolle Symmetrie. Auf ihre eigene Art ist diese Kirche von ihrer Bauart innen wie außen sehr beeindruckend.
